Tuscany, Italy

We are here in Italy!!! Our first rental is old style Tuscany with updated bathrooms and stove in the cucina. The view from the windows is incredible as this place sits on top of a hill. Each window has old style shutters and the home has most of the original features, so is very charming. We absolutely love it! I will post some pictures tomorrow of the casa although they don't do it justice as we know from the blog. It is about 95 today and no air conditioning so waiting for evening to open up and cool down. It is like our adobes that you close during the day and open up at night with thick walls and brick style floors. Spent a short time at the walled city of San Gimignano today waiting to get into our rental and it is quite the site with 14 original towers. It is supposed to have very good art works, some old churches and the walls of the city are worth the visit itself. We will go again very early in the morning while it is cooler and less touristas.
